Trying the ZOZO Suit: The Personal Measurement System

zozo suit testing review

Hello everyone! How are we doing?

I realised shortly after beginning this post that this will be my first one of 2019 - and we're already 6 days into April!

Truth be told, I had this one planned for probably around 2 months. I took a break from writing the 'Month in Review' posts once the New Year began, and was honestly just waiting around for a new idea/topic/ounce of inspiration to write about. Then popular Youtuber, Safiya Nygaard, uploaded this video back in February and just about blew my mind.

Month/Year in Review: December 2018

Friday, 18 January 2019

"A toast to the old you: if you feel inspired to use the new year to help you reset or change habits: great. And yet: The old you has survived every terrible day, every hard thing, every awful circumstance, and every heartbreak you've ever felt. The old you is a fighter. And that's worth celebrating."
-Emily McDowell

Around this time last year, I wrote a little piece on picking yourself up after falling into a slump: specifically, getting yourself through January and fighting those post-Christmas 'blues'. It was surprisingly inspiring and motivating to go back in time and re-read my own advice, whilst acknowledging  how far I've actually come since last year.

2018 was challenging, but I managed to get through it. Feelings about the future were prominent: there was uncertainty at every corner as I decided to choose myself and end a long-term, unhealthy and unfulfilling relationship. I was also a fresh graduate and had no idea how soon it would be before I found myself settled into a career, etc. It was definitely scary and uncomfortable and ultimately nerve-wracking.

Thankfully, since that time last year, I'm doing a lot better. I found myself a new home, a new job, and things have been looking up. I'm still dealing with my own shit, but I can confidently say I'm happier with myself and life in general now that 2018 is over. I'm looking ahead to the future with a bit more clarity and optimism and it feels great: bring on 2019!

With that said, here's a look back at some happy moments from December - see ya round 2018, you were a wild ride.

Good evening - and happy new year!

I've finally emerged from my pit (bedroom) that became a breeding ground for bacteria whilst I was sick with the flu over the holidays. It's been a nasty past week, to put it lightly - I fell ill on Christmas Eve (imagine!) and let's just say I am still not feeling 100% myself almost two weeks later. Ok, maybe going out on New Years Eve and drinking extortionate amounts of alcohol did my body no favours at all, but I've powered through and just about made it through to the other side.

And in case you're wondering, I haven't bothered making any New Years Resolutions this year. I'm trying to treat it as an extension of 2018, aka, no big deal, but it's difficult to avoid at least some introspection after the end of another year.

I plan on writing up a finale 'December/2018' reflection soon, but for now, this post may just help with those with a specific New Year's Resolution a lot of us can only dream of - to have clearer skin!

Month in Review: November 2018

Sunday, 2 December 2018

'You are being presented with a choice: evolve or remain. If you choose to remain unchanged, you will be presented with the same challenges, the same routine, the same storms, the same situations, until you learn from them, until you love yourself enough to say "no more", until you choose change. If you choose to evolve, you will connect with the strength within you, you will explore what lies outside the comfort zone, you will awaken to love, you will become, you will be. You have everything you need. Choose to evolve. Choose love'. - Creig Crippen

Here we are again! I'll just go ahead and speak for everyone when I say that I'm welcoming December with open arms and politely waving goodbye to November 2018.

It's not that there was anything particularly wrong with November - in fact, it was a pretty good month! I've simply been embracing the festiveness that comes with December since the week leading up to it, and I am more than ready to see this year out with a bang. There's something about December - and Christmas, obviously - that makes me feel all warm and toasty inside, and I'm truly looking forward to all of the food, alcohol and cheesy Christmas music I'm about to consume in the next 31 days. In the words of Ariana Grande: 'thank u, next'!

That said, here's some moments from November I especially enjoyed...
